Technical SEO For Sites That Already Exist
Pretty sites still lose because Google cannot read the title, the schema is missing, or the page takes four seconds on a phone in traffic on 880. Technical SEO is the unglamorous half. I fix that before I promise rankings.
Beto, founder of Betograpy | Bay Area website reviewsCheck your website. See what is missing.
This uses the live SEO analyzer already on betograpy.com. You do not need the other new city pages published. Paste your URL. The tool reads the page, speed, and the Google side (listing + nearby competitors) and tells you the gaps.
- xWebsite gaps. Title, H1, speed, mobile, missing schema. The boring stuff Google reads first.
- xMaps gaps. Google Business Profile, categories, photos, reviews vs the three shops ranking near you.
- xA list you can keep. What to fix this month. Then book the audit or the paid report if you want me to do it.
If the page cannot be crawled, the copy does not matter
Conflicting business information, unclear page headings and broken links make a website harder to use and maintain. A technical review checks those details against the actual business and live website.
The review covers descriptive titles, a clear main heading, accurate structured data, crawlable content and working internal links. These improvements support search visibility but do not guarantee rankings.
Speed is next. Heavy sliders, four font files, a video in the hero that never needed to autoplay. I trim what Elementor stuffed in so a parent searching from a parking lot is not staring at a white screen.
If you need a new site, that lives on the live web design page. This page is for the crawl, the markup, and the titles. Payment for builds stays where it already is.
The checklist I run before I talk rankings
Same items I use on Betograpy and on client sites.
Titles, H1, meta
One promise per page. If the page is SEO company San Jose, the title is not Marketing Agency Near You. Rank Math gets the same string as the H1.
Schema and NAP
LocalBusiness, Service, FAQ when the questions are real. Phone is 510-833-8838. City on the site matches the listing.
Index and internal links
New city pages only go live when the header or footer can point at them. Orphan pages waste the crawl.
Bay Area sites I see the most
Wix leftovers, five-year-old WordPress, and Hello Elementor themes that never got a title pass.
WordPress / Elementor
Most of my clients. I work inside the theme you already have. I do not make you migrate unless the site is actually broken.
No site yet
Then technical SEO waits. We build a lean page first on /web-design/, then we mark it up.
Proof I already ran this playbook
Black Gem Limo in San Francisco. Five months of organic work. No ad spend on that sprint. Search Console moved because the site, the Maps listing, and the weekly posts finally agreed with each other.
Same system, your city
Black Gem's sprint included titles, schema, and a homepage Google could parse. The Maps work sat on top of that, not instead of it.
If you need more than SEO
These extra pages are here so Google has a door for each search. The live product pages already take payment and booking.
Technical SEO, in plain English
Will technical SEO get me to number one?
Do you rewrite my whole site?
Is this the same as the SEO plan?
